Power charged Latrobe City Roller Derby has been rolling since mid 2010, and remains Gippsland's only roller derby league. Since its modest beginnings with just a handful of girls and guys hiring skates and learning the basics, LCRD now pride itself on being able to offer local women who are bored with traditional sports, the chance to become a fully fledged, bouting derby skater. Boys are welcome too of course, to keep these women in line by enforcing the rules. Basics, LCRD now prides itself on being able to offer local women who are bored with traditional sports, the chance to become a fully fledged, bouting derby skater. The league consists of 28 full time skaters, and trains twice a week at Moe’s Stadium 34. Forming and maintaining a roller derby league in a regional area can be challenging, particularly when trying to recruit fresh meat (new skaters) who aren't aware of this fantastic sport yet.

Our page has lots of info on LCRD's latest adventures and shenanigans so have a gander through the gallery, newest fundraisers and our bout calendar.

Be sure to also check out the player profiles for LCRD's travel team The Mega Hertz and also our reffing team.
